Gardening

I have been planting in my garden this past week and it has been a wonderful change from the poor spring and long winter here in Washington State. The sun is out, the air is clear, the temp. is a springtime low 70's. I have met several fellow gardeners from a novice to an old veteran for gardening. The casual conversation brought up memories of chats when I was a much younger man. The topics were the same, weather, rain amount prospects of a good yield since we are forced to plant so late this year.

I plan on finishing the seed and the last of the starter planting tomorrow. Then I will drum in and honor Earth Mother and pray for a good harvest, for storing this fall as well as sharing with those less fortunate.
